There’s been talk of a Senate hearing on Bitcoin taking place soon. Heck, I’ve even reported about this recently. Now, information is coming forward that the hearings are slated to take place on the 18th of November before the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs and also the Senate Banking committee.
Members of the bitcoin community (including Patrick Murck of the Bitcoin Foundation) are expected to testify in order to inform members of Congress of the digital currency’s use and implications when it comes to finance and crime.
The news comes from Mike Hearn, who’s from the Law & Policy committee at Bitcoin Foundation. You can read his announcement in its entirety at Bitcointalk.
CSPAN is expected to have coverage. Will you watch?
