Mon Protocol, a blockchain-based platform that enables gamers to publish their favourite gaming characters on the blockchain, announced a strategic partnership with gaming protocol Pixelverse this Tuesday. The collaboration will leverage Pixelverse’s gaming universe to extend and diversify Mon Protocol’s portfolio as well as strengthen its presence in the blockchain gaming community.
Speaking on the partnership, Giulio Xiloyannis, co-founder of Mon Protocol, praised Pixelverse’s strides in Web 3 gaming, stating the two companies will work to enhance their presence in emerging markets. With an already growing gaming community across these countries, Pixelverse will serve as a gateway to bring new audiences to the crypto and blockchain industry.
Pixelverse is a play-to-earn blockchain and browser-based game that allows players to form a team, fight against others and earn money using their skills and NFTs collected within the game.
“Pixelverse’s web browser-based quest battler is showing promising market fit in emerging regions, reminiscent of the success seen with Axie Infinity and Pixels.xyz,” Xiloyannis added. “The gaming narrative has the potential to yield results in these regions, serving as a gateway for retail and mainstream users to enter the crypto space through play-to-earn mechanics.”
With over a million players on its platform so far, the partnership with Mon Protocol will extend the reach of Pixelverse’s immersive game to this large user base and vice versa for Mon Protocol to the Pixelverse community. A targeted Pixelverse token airdrop for select MON holders is also being developed, presenting further opportunities for engagement and rewards within the community.
“Our focus is on rewarding questers and early adopters with their first foray into cryptocurrency through engaging gameplay,” said Kirill Volgin, CEO of Pixelverse. “This partnership aligns with our goal to provide an educational yet enjoyable introduction to the crypto world.”
In addition, the Pixelverse community will be able to learn about and leverage Mon Protocol’s publication of blockchain-native intellectual property (IP) and web3 gaming experiences. They will also be able to publish their characters into the AI-dominated cyberpunk universe, created by Pixelverse, offering a more enjoyable gaming experience and better battles within the metaverse.
By sharing their expertise, the two companies aim to advance the adoption of blockchain gaming and showcase the capabilities of the two communities working together to enhance Web 3 gaming.
