Ever accidentally donate 20 million of anything to a cause? Me neither.
Alex Green, the founder of Moolah, a cryptographic payments platform, can’t say the same. See, in the dogecoin community, there’s an initiative going on that seeks to sponsor NASCAR driver Josh Wise, helping him get into the Sprint Cup Series.
So when Green decided he was going to donate, he decided on 2 million doge. But in an unfortunate turn of events, he accidentally typed in an extra 0 — making his contribution 20 million dogecoin (or about $15,000 USD). Ouch!
Amazingly enough, Green is standing by his donation. He took to Reddit and made the following comment:
Was meant to be 2M… silly keyboard. I will stand by my mistake however! Anybody care to match me? The first person to match at least 10% will receive a hot pass to Talladega :-).
The dogecoin community is widely known in the cryptosphere for their outpouring of support and generosity, so this shouldn’t shock anyone.
Before the Winter Olympics took place, the dogecoin community banded together to fund the Jamaican bobsleigh team, who was struggling financially to make it to the Sochi games. They managed to raise $25,000’s worth, and the team made it to the games. [source: AltCoin Press]
Moolah is a pervert and a hater of Christians along with the rest of the #Dogecoin IRC ops and I have no pity on him for him having lost his money.
Nobody cares about Christians. No Christian would accidentally donate 20 million of ANYTHING and not complain about it. Go away.
Even God hates Christians
ROFL fucking pathetic Christian. Wishing/being glad for the loss of another. Dat hypocrisy. (This coming from a “Christian.”)
Ha! Whaaat?!?!?
Guys, here’s the total of the dogecoin wallet for this fund: 67842597.31881849
Multiply that by the price of doge (I use coins-e, so we’ll say .00065) equals $44,097. Now add on the amount raised in USD ($2679) and we get $46,776 raised out of a goal of $50,000! Less than 5K to go!!!!
Can we sponsor 2 cars?
Where can you see current funds raised?
The Dogecoin community is actually cool. Unlike the folks in the Zetacoin community… Now they got big egos and little to show for it. Go Dogecoin! To the Moon!
