What better way is there for a politician to get bitcoin donations than by attending a New Year’s Eve party and holding up a QR code to a donation address? That’s right, there isn’t any.

Congressman Steve Stockman did just that, attending a New Year’s Eve party in the New York City’s financial district on Broad Street. A quick scan of the QR on the provided picture posted to Reddit shows the address has received about $10 USD, which means the Congressman was either very unpopular, or someone manipulated the photo and posted their own QR code.

Either way, it’s pretty interesting.
