Coinbase Releases Redesigned App and Merchant App For Android

Coinbase Android Application

The folks over at Coinbase announced on Sunday that they’ve released a brand-spanking-new version of their application for Android, and also a new version of their merchant app on Google’s mobile operating system.

With regard to the standalone Coinbase app, the California-based company says it features a new user interface “with improved speed, reliability, and ease of use”. The application supports a rather simple means of refreshing Coinbase’s buy/sell price, and can also hide your balance, if that’s something you’re shy about. Coinbase says switching between accounts is now easier, and things — in general — are much quicker. In addition, three new languages have been added: Czech, Spanish, and Dutch.

Coinbase’s merchant functionality has been moved into it’s own application, allowing merchants to use the application as a point-of-sale system. This app comes with all the features provided by Coinbase to merchants, including 0% fees up to the first $1 million USD in sales, and instant exchange to U.S. Dollars.
